About Me
Director, Cinematographer, Editor, Filmmaker.
I am currently pursuing an MFA in Documentary Production and Studies at University of North Texas. I received my B.A. in Communication (with minors in Studio Art and Critical Race Studies) from Pacific Lutheran University in 2021. I have a wide range of film experience, including cinematography, editing, writing, directing, and more.
Ever since I was a kid I have had a passion for storytelling. Starting at the age of 11, I dedicated as much of my free time as possible to making videos. Soon after, I began to teach myself how to use video editing software and realized the intense passion that I still have for filmmaking.
My passion for filmmaking is strongly rooted in my fascination with the knowledge that no single person views the world in the same way. Visual storytelling allows for many people to see a story play out how a creator sees it, while still allowing the viewer to have their own interpretation of what they see. The ability to communicate stories the way I see them, while still allowing others to interpret them as they wish, is what I find most enticing about video as a medium.
Video and other mediums of visual storytelling, if only briefly, allow people to view the world from another's perspective. With so many unique perspectives around us, it is important to take a moment to see the world through someone else's eyes. I personally love the idea of being able to visually communicate stories that can speak to people in different ways.
I enjoy working on all kinds of film content, ranging from documentaries to experimental short films. I love directing my passion for storytelling and video work into every project I work on.
